SOCIAL / EMOTIONAL focuses on helping children become caring, competent, and confident individuals. You can nurture children's social emotional development by giving them a strong sense of self, fostering their independence, encouraging them to make friends, and teaching them to share.

All skill categories and individual skills are listed in developmental appropriate order , where appropriate. Therefore, a 3 year-old would be working on the beginning skills while a 5 year-old would be mastering the most advanced guidelines.
