| Activity: Following Rebus Directions |

Let's Get Started:
1. Create simple directions for an activity using construction paper. Keep the directions simple. For example, create a picture of a piece of green paper (a green rectangle) and a picture of a black crayon (using black paper).
2. Place the two pictures in the art center as picture directions. Tell the children the directions say to use a piece of green paper to draw a picture with a black crayon.
3. When the children are able to follow two-step rebus (picture) directions, begin using a three-step or three picture directions. |
