Activity: Clap a Rhythm

Let's Get Started:
1. Clap a simple rhythm for the children. For example: clap twice.

2. Have the children repeat the rhythm. According to the level of the children, adjust the difficulty of the rhythm clapped.

3. Do the same activity using musical instruments. Have the children repeat the same rhythm with their own instrument or clapping hands.

If using POCET, this Activity correlates to Developmental Guideline: LG 1 Exhibits Beginning Listening Skills (Attending).
