| Activity: Quack Like a Duck |
|
 |
Let's Get Started: 1. Teachers of toddlers should choose lots of songs that have easy, one-syllable words that are repeated in the simple song.
2. There are many songs about ducks that emphasize the “quack” of a duck.
3. Quack is easy for most toddlers to begin to imitate because it is a sound word. The child may also attempt to say “duck” during the song.
4. The caregiver should also choose other songs with sound words, such as additional animal sounds like “moo,” “baa,” etc. |
| This Activity correlates to Developmental Guideline: EC7: Begins to Sing Words of Songs.
