Sensory awareness, such as seeing, hearing, tasting, smelling and touching, become part of an infant’s life at a very early age. Playing Peek-a-Boo, placing items in her mouth and becoming aware of her own body parts will eventually help the child support the scientific wonderment of our world.

The child begins to demonstrate the understanding of what happens when a ball is rolled to him and away from him. The child understands that a ball can be retrieved if it rolls away. (ES4)
