| Experience: Answer with Language |
|
 |
Let's Get Started: 1. During the first few months of life, the infant will begin to cry to express discomfort.
2. The caregiver should use language to try to comfort the child. The caregiver should talk to the child while trying to provide comfort.
3. The caregiver should use dialog such as, “Are you hungry. Is that what you are trying to tell me? Let’s get you something to eat.” |
| This Experience correlates to Developmental Guideline: EL5: Cries to Express Needs or Sadness. |
